Chrysobéryl Dieter Lorenz Variety: CorundumChrysoberyl is a fine stone (sometimes referred to as semi precious) which can be green with shades of yellow, green or brown, transparent to translucent. There are two other very rare and particularly sought after varieties of the same family: chrysoberyl cat's eye and alexandrite. We find them in pegmatites and in high pressure metamorphic rocks.
