Germany, Federal Republic. A Luftwaffe Short Range Day Fighter Combat Clasp, Gold Grade, 1957 Version Newly Listed with filed silver beaded surround(Frontflugspange fr Jadgverbnde in Gold). Constructed of blackened and gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a central blackened winged arrow, within a circular laurel leaf wreath, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and narrow banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 76. 78 mm (w) x 25. 55 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
