On the front of the cap is a metal tri-colour cockade with a traditional silvered feinzink police eagle attached directly beneath

the centre of the shield displays two slots for attachment of silvered regimental numbers

Type I without date 1900. In silver gilt with blue and white enamels, measuring 36. 7 mm (w) x 65. 2 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath and laterally pierced ball suspension, chipping and loss evident in the blue enamels on the reverse centrepiece ring, otherwise the enamels are intact, large rosette on its original ribbon, better than very fine.
