On the palate the taste is striking, predominantly round and silky, very blissful with subtle sweet hints. Fruity notes linger on the finish, as do mineral notes. This is a full bodied wine that is at the same time very pleasant to drink. El Recio is made from 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo). The grapes come from vines 90 to 100 years
